Introduction
Namaskara /nɔ.mɔs.kaː.rɔ/
I’m Bishal Swain (ବିଶାଳ, 비샬), /bi.ʃaːl/, a fourth-year Ph.D. student at Kumoh National Institute of Technology, working under the supervision of Prof. Jaepil Ko in the Computer Vision & Pattern Recognition Lab (Lab Website).
I currently serve as Vice President for the MICCAI Student Board.
My research focuses on segmentation under distribution shift by taking modeling inspiration from the human brain, specifically hippo-cortical interaction. Rather than treating features as static inputs, I design systems that reason over data as an evolving sequence shaped by the past and present.
My goal is to build adaptive learning models that maintain stable and reliable performance across changing environments.
